About "Simply Music"
Simply Music is a new and very unique playing-based piano method where one learns to play music before learning to read music (just as a child learns to talk before learning to read and write), versus the traditional reading-based approach where learning to read comes first. Therefore, incredibly, students of all ages, from their very first lesson, can play great sounding contemporary, classical, blues, jazz, etc. pieces, while simultaneously developing accompaniment, improvisation, and composition skills. Also, the need to be tied to a sheet of music is no longer a necessity. How is that for a plan to get and keep students excited and involved?
A note needs to be added here about the dramatically increasing evidence, being handed down by neural scientists, that having music performance abilities can significantly affect not only ones musical capabilities but also can positively affect every other capability no matter what discipline is involved. There is therefore good reason for everyone to be encouraged to get involved. For this however traditional piano teaching methods are far too complex, demanding and lonely to be an appropriate approach. And the enormous rate of student drop-out as well as lack of interest to get involved, validates that argument.
Simply Music with its revolutionary thematic understanding that everyone is profoundly musical and, thus, starts the learning process at that advanced level and the programs brilliant use of a playing-based approach, satisfies the need ideally. Every teacher, parent and, in fact, individual young or old needs to know about this breakthrough piano learning process! Music education has not changed for 100s of years. It's time for a change . . . and Simply Music resoundingly offers that change.
